Free opt-out guide · updated October 2026
Remove yourself from ThatsThem
ThatsThem publishes a profile about you built from public records and data it buys. You can ask them to take it down at no cost. Here is exactly how, and what to expect.
What ThatsThem shows about you
- Name, address, phone
- Email addresses
- IP address history
- Vehicle records
How to opt out
- Search for yourself on ThatsThem. Open the listing that is actually you and copy its web address.
- Open the opt-out form and paste that address, or search for your listing inside the form if it asks you to.
- Enter an email address you control. Most sites will not process the request until you confirm it.
- Click the verification link in the email. Check spam - these arrive from unfamiliar senders.
- Wait 4-6 weeks. Then search again. If you are still listed, submit once more - it is common to need two passes.

It comes back. Opting out removes the listing they have now. It does not stop them rebuilding one from the next batch of public records, and most people-search sites do exactly that within a few months. Put a reminder in your calendar for 90 days out and search again. Two or three passes is normal.
Or hand it off
Every opt-out on this site is free. The catch is there are hundreds of these sites, most of them re-list you within months, and each one wants its own form and its own email confirmation. If you would rather not do it yourself, Online Reputation Repair does the broker cleanup for you.
RepCheckr is affiliated with Online Reputation Repair, a paid removal service. Every manual opt-out on this site is free and works without it.

Other sites that probably have you too
If you are on ThatsThem, you are almost certainly on these. Same records, different storefront.
